Selection of site or venue for an event is very curial, challenging and important part for the success of an event. To assemble people at some good place should be mile stone for the event management. There are one day event like wedding seminars, meetings. And events can be celebrated more than one day like sports event, festivals, funfair etc. Lot of people are involved in the selection of site like client, planner or event representatives. Basically event manager or planner is responsible for the site selection after detail meeting with his client. Before organizing any event keep venue history or repute in mind. Size of venue:

Venue size should fit the needs of the guests or attendee. Size of the venue is always according to number of the guests invited to the venue. Must a spacious for people .Be sure the venue can accommodate extra people as well. Too small venue will make people discomfort and too large venue will charge you extra money.

First impression of venue:

No doubt first impression is the last impression. First impression of the venue should be attractive for the guests, as they enter the venue they love to sit and get ready to avail full entertainment from the event.

Location of venue:

Choose location of venue very smartly. Faraway places from the houses of attendees can be big inconvenience. Place should be easily accessible by invites and away from any polluted area.

Safety precaution is very importation in site selection. There should be in built alarms of fire. Arrangements of ambulances can be done before staring any mega events.

Parking area:

provide big parking area for parking the cars for the ease of the guests. Proper guide line must be provided to the people to park their cars in organized way.

Climate condition:

If your are arranging event in rainy or cold day then indoor location is preferable and if event is on some hot day , then open air cool place will be good. Don’t forget that indoor event cost in less than outdoor events

Check out the attitude and number of staff working at the selected site. There must be enough staff to serve the guests
