Whenever you will be handling some big event stress will remain with you always. Every event manger remains under stress throughout the event process. A simple stress is not dangerous as such and give the desired result. But the stress that prolong for months and years damage the personality of person. Individual can face different types of stress problems like:

1) Medical problems like debates, heat attacks, high blood pressure, migraine, asthma, back pain etc.
2) Psychological problems like lack of interest, stress, lack of confidence, weakness and depression
3) Manners and behavior problems like over eating, under eating, sleepless nights, anger control etc.
As an event manager it’s your duty to take care of your health and also your team member’s health. Find out the problems that are creating stress in you nature, sort them out and formulate some process or contact some good doctor to vanish them off.

Physical Problems:

 It includes nausea, weight gain or weight loss, server back ache, shoulder ache, head ache or frequent dizziness.

Emotional problems:

 It includes mood swings, unhappiness, stress, laziness, lack of sleep, unhappy mood etc.

Behavioral problems:

It include over eating, under eating, nail biting, fighting with others, isolation, taking drugs, smoking etc.

Cognitive problems

: It includes poor concentration on work, fear factors, and lack of judgment.

All of these problems vary from person to person and his ability to handle these problems is also different.

There are number of causes and factors that cause stress like if someone face marriage issues, breakups, divorce, child birth, accident or death issues. Some people face job dissatisfaction, overload, less pay as well. If working environment is not friendly and helpful people also keep themselves in pressure always. Pollution, noise and stress environment of office is very harmful for few people.

You can take following steps to reduce stress

  • Always set realistic goals and discuss them with your team members.
  • Avoid all those people who make you stress and make a tensioned environment.
  • If someone is experiencing job dissatisfaction, then you must concentrate on your financial issues as well. Are you spending too much than your actual pay.
  • While handling the guests don’t be a part of role conflict. Design a work for a person who can do both tasks at the same time.
  • Don’t involve in any type of politics and favoritism at job place.
  • Makes polices and rules of your company and make a small handbook and give it to all team members, charge them in the case of conflict and breaking any law and order.
  • Make sure that your all physical need like providing food at time should be done at work place. Plan some exercise or yoga to reduce stress will also be helpful.
  • Provide job security and insurance to your team members. If any team member has financial issues help him out.
  • There should be smoke free environment and also give rest and relax time between working hours.
