2025 Summer Research Week (18-22 August 2025) at Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center, PASTIC.
2025 summer research week is being held at Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center, PASTIC, QAU Campus Islamabad. More than 25 researchers, and students from QAU, NUST, IIU are attending this research week. The activity is aimed at equipping researchers with latest tools and techniques relevant to qualitative and quantitative research. Four resource persons including Dr. Maryam Ibrar, Dr. Arfeen, Ms. Rabia Zafar and Dr. M. Usman are engaged to deliver these topics.
First Day (18 August) of 2025 Summer Research Week
The first day of the 2025 summer research week started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Afterwards, the first session was dedicated to the 'introduction of research'. Majorly the research, its types, and methods were discussed. A discussion was also held for techniques for reading the research papers. Later on, hands-on-activity was held for using MENDELEY for conducting the literature review.

Second Day (19 August) of 2025 Summer Research Week
The second started with brief introduction of Data Collection Methods including Questionairre Development, Conducting Intervies, and Observations. Afterwards, participants were given a brief review of data types used in SPSS followed by setting up data files in SPSS. A hands on session was conducted on Missing Values Analysis (using Series Mean, and Mean of Near By Points). Additionally, methods for transforming variables, i.e. computation and recoding were discussed and practiced. Dr. Muhammad Usman was assisted by Ms. Rabia Zafar from NUST, today for some key topics..
