1. Do a site Visit
As an event planner the most important element is to go and check the restaurant before making a final judgment. Hotel manger will offer you to visit the whole venue hall and room, note down all positive and negative aspects of venue. Check the structure and layout of the room for guest ease. Cross ventilation and smoke free environment are the top priorities of guests. Check the space of guest room and how many people can be accommodated into one room.
2. Chef of Restaurant
Before finalizing the food menu have a meeting with a chef and taste food personally. Then in the end chef will come to you to ask about the taste of the food and your final preferences. Select the menu according to the type of the event and discuss it with chef. Food menu for some meeting and seminar will be totally different from wedding events. Don’t forget that the expertise of the chef plays an important role in the success and failure of the event.
3. Staff of the Restaurant
If you want to execute the program in good manner then check the abilities and efficiency of chef of restaurant. Make sure that which team members you will get on the final day of event. Sign the team members that are fast in work and service.
4. Health Issues
Do investigate about all health reports of the restaurant. You get all information online by goggling the name of the restaurant. Call some food inspection team for the checking and evaluating the food.
5. Check all References
If someone has conducted the event in the same restaurant then better call them to ask about the reputation of that place. New restaurant don’t have much experience so better to avoid them. If restaurant is old and famous but didn’t updated the facilities then better not to chose it as well.

6. Facilities of Hall
Check all facilities of the room that includes sitting arrangements, stage, tables, decoration, lightning and audio/visual facilities. Check your session will run in good flow or not? What is the noise level of hall? What is the condition of floor? Are the guest’s rooms are comfortable enough for the guests or not?
7. Create all Statistical Reports
Check all statics and numbers and make a final report in the end. Collect all knowledge about the restaurant and see how far it will grow its business in coming years. To avoid any type of risk at that time it’s better to calculate all numeric on time and make a final decision to select the place for event.
